Resolve the System Emails warning

Turn System Emails back on when DoorSpot warns that an invoice or other email could not be sent.

If DoorSpot shows a banner in the bottom-right corner saying an email could not be sent, System Emails is turned off. While it is off, DoorSpot cannot send invoices or other system-generated emails. Turn System Emails back on in Settings. The warning is shown to admins and property managers in their active client.

Turn System Emails back on

  1. Go to Settings → Invitations. You can also select Settings on the banner, which opens Invitations.

  2. Under System Emails, select Yes.

  3. Click Save.

To see the warning again later, select More info on the banner to open your alerts.

How the warning behaves

  • The banner appears at most once a day.

  • Each warning is also kept in your alerts, so you can find it after the banner is gone.

  • The banner waits while a drawer or dialog is open and never stacks on top of other banners.

  • If you send or resend an invoice while System Emails is off, DoorSpot shows “Invoice status updated” instead of “sent successfully.”

Send and resend invoices from the unit ledger

The unit ledger offers Send and Resend for invoices, so you can send or resend an invoice without leaving the ledger. Invoices are only emailed while System Emails is on. A few emails are still sent while System Emails is off: team invitations, replies from contacts in conversations, and payment receipts.
