Add your unit's availability to Outlook

Every unit in DoorSpot has its own iCal link that lists its current reservations and blocked dates. Add that link to Outlook — or any calendar app that reads iCal feeds — to see a unit's availability without logging into DoorSpot.

Before you begin

  • You need access to the unit's page in DoorSpot. The calendar is read-only: you can view bookings and blocks, but you can't create or edit them from Outlook.

Steps

  1. Go to Bookings > Properties/Units in the left sidebar.

  2. Click the unit whose availability you want to share. Its details open on the right.

  3. In the Availability calendar field, click the copy icon next to the link to copy the unit's iCal link to your clipboard.

  4. Open Outlook on the web and select Calendar in the left navigation.

  5. Click Add calendar, then select Subscribe from web.

  6. Paste the link into the calendar URL field and click Import. The unit's bookings and blocked dates now show up in Outlook and refresh automatically as DoorSpot's calendar changes.

Good to know

  • Outlook checks external iCal links on its own schedule rather than instantly — a new booking can take several hours, and Microsoft notes it may take up to 24 hours to appear.

  • Each unit has its own link. Repeat these steps for every unit you want to track.

  • The link is read-only — to change a reservation or block dates, make the update in DoorSpot.

  • Using classic desktop Outlook instead of Outlook on the web? Look for the same "subscribe by URL" option under Add Calendar > From Internet on the Calendar view — the DoorSpot-side steps above are identical either way.

Troubleshooting

  • Can't find the Availability calendar field: Make sure you opened the specific unit's page (Bookings > Properties/Units > the unit), not the property list. Properties with multiple units list each unit separately.

  • The copy icon doesn't seem to work: Click into the link text and copy it manually (Ctrl/Cmd + C) instead.

  • Outlook isn't showing new bookings: Give it time — subscribed calendars update on Outlook's schedule, not instantly. If it still hasn't updated after a day, remove the calendar in Outlook and re-add it using a freshly copied link.
