Navigate the DoorSpot menu

The left-hand menu in DoorSpot is organized by function, not just by label — each top-level section lines up with a part of your business workflow. This article covers what's in each section and a few tips for getting around faster.

What's in the menu

  • Dashboard — a snapshot of your portfolio: pending tasks, upcoming move-ins, payments, and outstanding service requests.

  • Bookings — your calendar, reservations, properties and units, rates, services, taxes, and restrictions.

  • CRM — contacts, companies, leads, saved lists, duplicate detection, and tasks tied to the people and organizations you work with.

  • Communications — conversations, forms, documents, e-signature requests, workflows, message templates, broadcasts, activity, and alerts.

  • Service Center — inspections, inspection templates, maintenance requests, housekeeping requests, and your maintenance team.

  • Bookkeeping — transactions, the general ledger, checks, payables, direct costs, invoices, payments, and bank reconciliation.

  • Reports — occupancy, revenue, and other reports for your portfolio.

  • Settings — your company profile, team, bank accounts, subscription, custom fields, and other account-level configuration.

A few things to know

  • Related actions often live in more than one place on purpose. For example, you can create a reservation from Bookings > Reservations or from a contact's profile in CRM. This gives you more than one path to the same action depending on your workflow.

  • Filters are available throughout the app — on reservations, contacts, documents, and more — to narrow what you're viewing by status, date, tag, property, and other criteria.

  • Click the DoorSpot icon in the top-left corner from any page to return to the Dashboard.
