If a unit isn't showing up in location searches when you know it should, it's usually missing its geotag — the latitude and longitude DoorSpot stores with the unit's address. Re-selecting the address with Search with Google adds the geotag and puts the unit back in location search results.
Why this happens
DoorSpot geotags addresses through Google's geotagging service. When units are imported automatically, that service can occasionally be unavailable or time out, so a unit gets skipped — its address looks complete on screen, but no latitude and longitude were saved with it. An address typed directly into the address fields (rather than selected from Google) is also saved without a geotag.
Fix the geotag
In the left menu, go to Bookings > Properties/Units.
Find the property or unit that isn't appearing in location searches. Scroll the list, or narrow it with the filters at the top of the page.
Click the three-dot menu (⋯) at the right end of the row, then click Edit. The Edit unit panel opens on the right.
Click Address to expand the address section.
Copy the full address shown in the fields as one block of text — you'll paste it in a moment. The address can look complete and still not be geotagged.
Click Search with Google, just below the address fields. The separate street, city, state, and zip fields are replaced by a single Address search box.
Paste the address into the search box. [SCREENSHOT: the Address search box showing Google's suggested addresses]
In the suggestion list (powered by Google), click the entry that matches the unit's address. Google matches close variants, so an abbreviation like "E Telecom Pkwy" still finds "East Telecom Parkway."
Click Update. A green Unit updated message confirms the save. The unit's latitude and longitude are now tagged, and it will appear in location searches.
Good to know
Selecting the address through Google search is what saves the geotag. Typing the same address into the fields by hand — including through Enter address manually — does not.
To switch back to typing the address fields yourself, click Enter address manually in the Address section.
Troubleshooting
The address doesn't appear in the suggestions. Include the city, state, and zip code, and check the spelling of the street name. If Google cannot find the address at all, DoorSpot cannot geotag it.
You picked a suggestion but the unit still isn't in location searches. Reopen the unit and make sure you clicked Update and saw the Unit updated confirmation — closing the panel without updating discards the change.
