A restriction blocks or limits bookings according to rules you set — a blacked-out date range, a maximum or minimum stay length, allowed check-in/check-out days, or a repeating pattern. Apply it to a single unit, a group of units, or your whole portfolio.
Add a restriction
Go to Bookings > Restrictions, then select Add new. This opens the New Restriction form.
Enter a Title (required) — for example, "No pets allowed" or "Minimum 30-night stay." Add an optional Description for more context.
Under Assign units (optional), use Choose units to pick which units this applies to. Leave it blank to apply the restriction across every unit in the account.
Choose whether the restriction can be overridden: Yes, allow admin user ability to override, or No, do not allow admin user ability to override.
Pick a Restriction type. The fields below it change depending on which you choose:
Block availability: set a Start and End date the unit can't be booked.
Set maximum policy or Set minimum policy: choose What is being restricted — Reservation duration, Number of pets, or Number of guests — then enter Number of items and, for a duration limit, an Interval (days, nights, weeks, or months).
Set stay conditions: choose Reservation check-in day or Reservation check-out day, then pick the allowed Day of week.
Set recurring rule: set a Start date (and an optional End), a Frequency (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly), and How often the rule repeats (Interval, Weekdays, Weekends, First week, Last week, First month, Last month, or Other). A Summary line updates in plain language as you fill the rule in — for example, "Availability will be blocked every month for 1 day(s)."
Select Save. The restriction appears in the Restrictions list, and anyone who tries to book against it is notified.
Good to know
Title is the only field every restriction needs beyond its own restriction-type fields.
A restriction with no units assigned applies account-wide, not just to one property.
The Restrictions list (Bookings > Restrictions) shows every restriction's Title, Unit, Start Date, and End Date in one place, so it's the quickest way to check what's already restricting a unit.
Troubleshooting
A guest or team member can't book a unit and you're not sure why: Check Bookings > Restrictions for any rule assigned to that unit, or an account-wide rule with no units assigned, that overlaps the dates in question.
