Custom fields store details DoorSpot doesn't track by default — for example a Wi-Fi password, door code, or neighborhood. Create a field once in Settings > Custom Fields, then fill it in on each record.
Steps
Go to Settings > Custom Fields in the left sidebar. The list shows each field's Field name and what it Relates to.
Click Create field. The Create Custom Field panel opens.
Enter a Field name.
Choose an Association type: Property, Child Unit, All Units, Company, Contact, or Reservation.
Click Save. The field now appears on every record of that type.
Good to know
To fill in a unit's custom fields, open the unit's page and click Edit in the Custom Fields section, or use Manage custom fields in the unit's ⋯ menu in Bookings > Properties/Units.
Use the filter at the top of the Custom Fields list to show fields for one record type.
Click Edit or Delete on a field's row to change or remove it.
Common examples: Wi-Fi network and password, door or lockbox codes, school district, pet policy, nearest airport, building access instructions.
Troubleshooting
A field doesn't show on a record: Check its Relates to value. A field set to Child Unit only shows on child units; use All Units to show it on every unit.
