A rate tells DoorSpot how much to charge and how often — for example $150 nightly or $3,100 monthly — so charges are added to invoices automatically. Create your rates first, then give each unit its standard rate. Add rates before you create reservations.
Before you begin
Every unit can have one standard rate at a time. Reservations can use any rate you've created, including custom or temporary rates added while you create the reservation.
Steps
Create a rate
Go to Bookings > Rates in the left sidebar. The Rate Fees page lists your existing rates with their Title, Amount, Interval, and Account.
Click Add Rate Fee.
Enter the Fixed fee amount.
Choose an Interval: One-time, Daily, Nightly, Weekly, Bi-weekly, or Monthly.
Enter a Description — this is the rate's name, so make it clear (for example, "Standard $150 nightly").
Under What account do you want these fees to post to?, keep 4000 - Rental Income (revenue) or choose another account, then click Save. The rate appears in the list.
Set a unit's standard rate
Go to Bookings > Properties/Units, click the ⋯ menu at the end of the unit's row, and select Manage rate. The Add or update unit rate panel opens.
Under Choose a rate fee, select the rate, then click Choose rate.
Good to know
Choosing a new rate for a unit replaces its current standard rate.
A unit without a rate shows add rate next to Rate on its page — you can set the rate from there too.
Pick the account carefully: it decides where the charges land in your books.
Troubleshooting
Can't save the rate: Fixed fee amount, Interval, Description, and the account are all required.
The rate isn't in the Choose a rate fee list: Create it first under Bookings > Rates.
A reservation needs a different price: Add a custom or temporary rate while creating the reservation instead of changing the unit's standard rate.
