Split a Reservation Between Units

Move part of a stay into a different unit while keeping the original reservation's record intact.

Splitting a reservation moves the remainder of a stay into a different unit — for example, when a guest starts in a 1-bedroom while waiting for a 2-bedroom to open up, then moves once it's available.

How It Works

Splitting creates a second, linked reservation in the new unit for the remaining dates. The original reservation stays intact, covering the dates already stayed in the first unit.

Once split, the stay is two separate reservations — there isn't a way to recombine them into one.

Split a Reservation

  1. Go to Bookings → Reservations (or the calendar) and open the reservation you want to split.

  2. Choose Split Reservation.

  3. Select the new unit and the date the guest moves.

  4. Confirm. DoorSpot keeps the original reservation for the dates already covered and creates a new, linked reservation in the new unit for the rest of the stay.
